The main component of Licorice Extract is glycyrrhizic acid, which acts as an anti-inflammatory by preventing scalp inflammation. Ginseng extract presents hair regeneration activity, widely used in the treatment of alopecia by acting on the dermal papillae cells, which are the source to hair follicles. Black Cumin Extract has thymoquinone, which is known for its antioxidant and antiseptic activity. Black Pepper Extract contains piperine, which acts as an inhibitor of 5--reductase, which converts to DHT. Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is an active androgen, which binds to androgenic receptors and promotes several hormone actions. An excessive accumulation of DHT leads to male pattern baldness. Black Pepper promotes a decrease in the concentration of DHT in many tissues, being effective in preventing hair loss and alopecia. Burdock Extract helps in treating hair loss and skin diseases due to its soothing, antiseptic, and repairing properties. It also helps to facilitate blood circulation, and improve scalp nutrition and metabolism.
